In 1966, Ed Ruscha published a book entitled Every Building on the Sunset Strip. The book contained photographs of every building on each side of the Sunset Strip, Sunset Boulevard, West Hollywood, USA.
Sunset Strip Readings is a light meter record and certification of every building now present on the same section of street. To certify presence of the building and its location, the occupier of each building was sent an original document to sign and return. Of the 121 total documents sent, 15 have been currently returned. A copy exists of all the non-returned documents.
The north and south sides of the strip are represented separately. The buildings on the north side of the street have red headed certificates with the south side buildings, blue. |
